Work On I-10 In Full Swing Despite Heat & Pandemic

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is continuing
construction on Interstate 10 (I-10) from Beaumont to State Route 111 (SR-111).

During the week of July 27 to July 31 work is as follows:

From the hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, crews will continue to
complete operations in the center median, behind k-rail, from 8th St in Banning, to
approximately Main St in Cabazon to sealing treatments and install construction signs.

During night operations from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, going
eastbound and westbound near the center median fast lanes, from Pennsylvania Ave in
Beaumont to Main St in Cabazon, crews will be pouring concrete and restriping.

Two lanes will remain open for traffic until 11 p.m. then reduced to one lane open to traffic. The
eastbound Main St on and off-ramp in Cabazon will be closed intermittently during the night
hours for drainage work.

Motorists should expect to see additional changes to the traffic configuration throughout
the work zone. A crossover lane is anticipated to be in place beginning July 29,
2020.

This crossover lane will assist in maintaining freeway capacity during construction.
Please note, once you enter the crossover lane, you will be unable to exit the 5-mile work
zone segment. Big rigs, trucks towing trailers, and RV are prohibited from entering the
crossover.

This schedule is subject to change. Know before you go! To stay on top of roadwork in
