California elected officials are launching a campaign to inform people who work for the government or for nonprofit organizations, that their student debt can get paid off through the Public Service Loan Program.

Officials said a million people are eligible for the free program, but only ten thousand are taking advantage of it.
California Attorney General Rob Bonta and other leaders are launching a campaign that will bring more awareness to the underutilized program.
