When David Bowie Dated Slash’s Mom

It’s easy to imagine rock stars having interesting childhoods, but Slash grew up around David Bowie.

Talking with Howard Stern in 2007, the Guns N’ Roses guitarist revealed that he was around nine or ten when his mom had dated Bowie.

Slash also recalled that his mom actually was working with Bowie, designing his clothes.
Of course, “nothing lasts forever,” and Slash’s mom and Bowie split after what the guitarist said was “a year, year and a half.”
