Walmart Mandating Masks At All Its Stores
Starting July 20th, 2020 you won’t be able to enter a Walmart store anywhere unless you are wearing a face mask.
All customers and employees will have to wear a mask.
Approximately 65% of Walmart’s nearly 5,000 locations operate in areas that have a government mandate in place requiring masks.
Currently, you must wear a mask to enter any store, Walmart or otherwise, in the Coachella Valley.
The move by the retail giant — which is the largest private employer in the U.S. — comes as new coronavirus cases are soaring, and state and local public health and elected officials are urging people to wear face masks.
Starbucks also requires its customers to wear face masks.
All Walmart stores will have a Health Ambassador stationed at the entrance to the store.
This person will be wearing a black polo shirt and will ensure customers are wearing face masks properly.
At Walmart-owned Sam’s Club, its membership warehouse, the club will hand out complimentary masks to its members who don’t have one.
Walmart operates more than 4,700 Walmart stores in the U.S. and close to 600 Sam’s Club stores.
