Unemployment Up

More Americans are filing for unemployment benefits than expected.

The number of weekly jobless claims last week was 742-thousand, which is 35-thousand more than analysts predicted.

That’s the first time there’s been an increase in nine weeks.

It’s an increase of 31-thousand from the week before.

Some of that is likely tied to the increase in coronavirus infections and a number of states clamping down their economies to control the spread.
