Two Young Deer Rescued From Coachella Canal
Indio Police have rescued 2 young deer from the Coachella Canal.
They got help from Cal-Fire, Riverside County Animal Services, and the Coachella Valley Water District.
They call for help came in just before 8 in the morning on Monday August 1st 2022, a passerby near Golf Center Parkway and Avenue 42 noticing the deer struggling in the water, being pushed by the current.
The deer were pulled out of the canal near Jackson Street, north of Avenue 41.
The deer were checked out and doing okay now that they are back on dry land.
