Testing Increasing; Covid-19 Cases, Deaths Dip In Riverside County

There have been 184 deaths linked to Covid-19 in Riverside County that’s an increase of 3 since Tuesday, May 5th, 2020

32 of those deaths are in the Coachella Valley.

Riverside County has 4,454 positive cases of Covid-19, an increase of 100 since Tuesday May 5th, out of more than 58,878 people tested so far, as of Wednesday morning May 6th, 2020

846 cases are in the Coachella Valley.

742 of those are in cities, and 104 cases are in unincorporated areas of the desert.

101 cases in Palm Springs, 9 dead

29 cases in Rancho Mirage, 3 dead

102 cases in Cathedral City, 1 dead

99 cases in Palm Desert, 6 dead

138 cases in Indio, 5 dead

75 cases in La Quinta   4 dead

40 cases in Desert Hot Springs, no deaths

145 cases in Coachella, 3 dead

13 in Indian Wells, no deaths

104 cases in unincorporated areas in the desert;   1 death in Mecca

3 cases in Idyllwild/Pine Cove

3 cases in Cabazon, 1 dead

798 cases in Riverside,  50 dead

510 cases in Moreno Valley, 17 dead

195 cases in Hemet, 13 dead;  81 cases in San Jacinto, 3 dead

6 cases in Anza

156 cases in Beaumont, 7 dead

1,997 people have recovered from the Covid-19 virus.

215 are hospitalized.

2,058 are quarantined at home in various stages of recovery.

58,878  people have been tested so far.

Drive-thru testing is available by appointment only at the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio from 9 a-m to 3 p-m Tuesday through Saturday, by appt only. Call 800-945-6171 to make an appointment, and you no longer need to have symptoms to schedule a test.
