Taxpayers Could Pay All Alimony In CA

Steve Clark of Huntington Beach has until mid January 2023 to collect 623-thousand signatures to get a measure on the California Ballot.

Clark is not happy that people have to pay alimony when they get divorced.

So he is proposing California taxpayers pay all alimony for all people who get divorced.

Being that roughly half of all marriages fail, that’s another huge bill California taxpayers would have to shoulder.

Clark wants the California Department of Social Services to handle all alimony cases and wants the California Legislature to allocate money every year to  pay all alimony claims.
