Statues Which Symbolized Some CA History, Are Now History Themselves

The statue of California Missionary Father Junipero Serra that once stood in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco is no longer there.

Activists pulled down the statute along with the statues of Francis Scott Key and Ulysses S. Grant last week. The statues were forcefully removed by angry crowds who cheered as the statues fell.

There are multiple other reports of statues being defaced throughout the remainder of the weekend.

Another statue of Father Junipero Serra which stood for decades on Olvera Street in Los Angeles has also been torn down by protesters.
