Looking for a stamp? It’ll cost you more. Starting this week, the U.S. Postal Service raised the price of a ‘forever stamp’ from 50 cents to 55 cents. The ten percent hike is the biggest price increase ever for the USPS. Priority Mail rates are also going up by about 70 cents. Price hikes are due the fast that the Postal Service has been losing money for quite some time. Competition along with the fact that communication and bill paying has primarily gone online these days. The USPS suffered a $3.9 billion loss in 2018.
