The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their nominees for the 2020 class on Tuesday, October 14th. Looking at the list, it turns out to be an eclectic group overall.
Nominee ballots are sent to an “international voting body of more than 1,000 artists, historians and members of the music industry” — but the general public can also participate in the selection process.
Now through January 10, 2020, fans can cast a ballot at RockHall.com or in person at the museum in Cleveland.
The top 5 , as selected by the public, will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2020 inductees.
To be eligible for a nomination, an artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years ago.
