A retired Marine officer is embarking on a journey to raise money – and help a friend in need.
Robert Koenig launched the charity Ruck for Refugees after the fall of Afghanistan.  His goal?  Help out his former Afghan interpreter, a man Koenig says “kept me alive”.

Koenig hiked 145 miles from Omaha to Hartington, Nebraska, raising money for Deputy Mubarak – who lives in Florida but has 33 family members who fled Afghanistan in August and are looing for a place to stay.
