Rancho Mirage Goes To ‘Appointment Only’ City Hall, Library-To-Go Due To Covid Surge

RANCHO MIRAGE CITY HALL WILL BE “APPOINTMENT ONLY” TO THE PUBLIC. RANCHO MIRAGE PUBLIC LIBRARY CONVERTS TO A “LIBRARY TO-GO” MODEL AMID RECENT COVID-19 SURGE
2Rancho Mirage City Hall will be by “appointment only” and closed to public walk-in access. The City’s Library and Observatory will convert to a “Library To-Go” model where patrons can continue to check out materials, but all other services will be closed. The temporary closure and Library “To-Go” model will be in effect for the next two to three weeks as the recent COVID-19 surge is evaluated.
City Hall staff will continue to be available via phone and email Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Anyone seeking city services are encouraged to do so remotely. In the event city services cannot be provided remotely, appointments will be accepted. Please reference the list of departments and contact information at the end of this advisory:

The City’s Planning Commission Meeting on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. will be available via Zoom and any attendees can access the meeting remotely.
The City Council Meeting on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. will be available via Zoom and any attendees can access the meeting remotely.
Library To-Go model allows patrons to enter the library, browse and check out available materials. Children’s play area, computer lab, observatory, study rooms, Aspen Mills Café, Book Nook, etc. will be closed and reservations will not be available at this time. Rancho Mirage Library hours of operation will continue to be Tuesday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
