Air fares at Palm Springs International Airport are falling 29% compared to where they were in 2018.

Traffic at the airport in September 2021 was up 28% from September 2019 numbers, which were recording-setting at that time.

Helping to contribute to PSP’s passenger records are more year-round flights, more airlines, and the drop in airfares.

Palm Springs International Airport has 41% more departing seats for sale in October 2021 compared to October 2019.

Airport officials say they still expect 2019 to retain its record-setting numbers, as travel during the first half of 2021 was sluggish due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Total passenger numbers at the airport for 2021 are still 30% behind the 2019 numbers.
