Proposal To Cut Work Week 20%, But Keep Salaries At 100%, Dies Uneventful Death In CA Legislature
A proposal the cut the work week by 20% in California in California has died in the California Legislature.
The idea that you could work 32 hours a week, over a 4 day period, but your employer would pay you the same amount of money you earn working 40 hours over 5 days, simply did not have the support it needed to make it into law.
The bill would have required companies to pay workers overtime for any hours worked above 32 hours a week.
