Peter Jackson Reveals That The Beatles Could Have Avoided Break-Up

Director Peter Jackson said that footage from his ‘Get Back’ documentary could have helped the band avoid breaking up.

Talking with Stephen Colbert last week, Jackson mentioned a conversation between George and John about releasing solo work and then regrouping for band work every so often.

“So that to me was a picture of how The Beatles could have survived going forward: Do their solo work and still come together every now and again to do The Beatles,” said Jackson.

“You know what Paul said to me?,” said Jackson. “He said, ‘I wish I knew they said that at the time.’”
