Palm Desert CV LINK Segment Being Built; Watch For Road Restrictions

Look for some lane closures on Monterey Avenue in Palm Desert for construction of the C V LINK.

The northbound number three lane, the slow lane, on Monterey Avenue is closed between Fred Waring and Magnesia Falls Drives in Palm Desert from 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, until 7 p.m. on Friday, September 25, to allow for the start of construction of the  CV Link in Palm Desert.

The College of the Desert main entrance is closed and the campus will be accessible through the Magnesia Falls entrance.

This work, combined with the ongoing Monterey repaving project, means that delays are likely.

The number one, the fast lane on Monterey Avenue will be closed in both directions from approximately 1,000 feet south of Frank Sinatra Drive to approximately 325 feet north of Frank Sinatra Drive beginning at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, and continuing round-the-clock through 6 p.m. on Friday, September 18, to allow for median demolition/construction.

Delays are possible and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes such as Bob Hope Drive and Portola Avenue.
