Open Disneyland And Other Big Theme Parks…Say Supervisors In L-A
Los Angeles County Supervisors are calling for Disneyland and other big theme parks to reopen sooner than planned.
The L-A County Board of Supervisors has now gone on record with its support for a new California state bill that would let theme parks reopen earlier than Governor Newsom would allow.
The bipartisan bill would allow theme parks to reopen once a region is in the moderate or “orange” risk zone rather than waiting until it’s in the yellow zone.
Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger has argued that large theme parks nationwide began reopening last summer and there have been no confirmed outbreaks of COVID-19 from those establishments.
There is one glitch though. The L-A County has no control over Disneyland…which is actually in Orange County.
