La Quinta Offers Small Biz Help Through Local Loan Program

Small businesses in La Quinta who can’t wait for Congress to funnel disaster money to them during the Covid-19 pandemic, might get faster service from a loan program the City is offering.

The City of La Quinta’s  Small Business Emergency Economic Relief Program has 1.5 million dollars to lend to small businesses with no more than 25 full-time employees.

Half a million dollars is for restaurants offering take-out and delivery of meals during the pandemic.

You can get up to 20-thousand dollars in aid and you could have your money in early May.

Applications are being accepted now, and the application deadline is Thursday, April 30th at 5 p-m

Then, all the applications will be reviewed by a committee of 6 local people, and the loan money will be divided up.

To apply, go to  www.laquintaca.gov/COVID19BUSINESSLOAN.
