Kroger Testing Drone Grocery Delivery

Be mindful of where you are when you order your next bag of groceries.  Because you order is going there.

Kroger, parent company of Ralph’s and Food 4 Less,  is the latest chain to test  drone grocery delivery.

Kroger and Drone Express are teaming up to offer grocery delivery via autonomous drones.

But the the drone technology will offer package delivery based on the customer’s smartphone location.

Kroger says this will allow users to place an order from wherever they are, and the order will be delivered to a person at a park,  or at a backyard barbecue.  It just depends where your cellphone is when you place the order.

The week of May 3rd 2021,  Kroger will begin testing at its location in Centerville, Ohio with a second launch scheduled this summer at a Ralphs store in California.
