While you are sitting home, bored out of your gourd, sweating out another triple-digit desert summer, avoiding all other people at all cost and trying to dodge Covid-19, possibly working from home or not working at all, help is on the way.

In the nick of time, the State of California has come up with a diversion for you.

It’s the California Ballot Tracking Tool, from the California Secretary of State’s Office.

No matter which of California’s 58 counties you live in, you can just go to WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov, and sign up to get automatic notifications about your vote by mail ballot.

Those notifications can come via email, text, or phone call.

You can find out when your county mail your ballot to you, and when the county has counted your ballot after you have mailed it back.

If there is a problem with your ballot, you will be notified as well.

Voters who sign up for “Where’s My Ballot?” will also receive communications from their county elections office about important election deadlines and critical updates such as polling place changes.
