Indio, Coachella, Cathedral City & Unincorporated Areas With Vast Majority Of Covid-19 Cases In The Desert
As of Thursday morning July 9th, 2020.

145 of those deaths are in the Coachella Valley. 132 deaths in cities, 13 deaths in unincorporated areas…6 in Mecca, 1 in Vista Santa Rosa, 1 in Bermuda Dunes, 2 in Desert Palms, 2 in Desert Edge, and 1 in North Shore.
506 people are hospitalized (that includes 5 people from Imperial County and 10 from county jails), 122 people are in ICU.
268,613 people have been tested so far in Riverside County
Riverside County has 2,105 cases in nursing homes, with 1,305 cases among patients, and 800 cases among staff. The overwhelming majority of nursing home cases, 689 cases, are in the City of Riverside.
In Coachella Valley nursing facilities, there have been 144 cases in Palm Desert, 69 in Palm Springs, 50 in Indio, 46 in Rancho Mirage…27 patients and 15 staff from Vista Cove Assisted Living in Rancho Mirage, and another 12 patients and 4 staff at Rancho Mirage Terrace, and 46 in La Quinta.

Drive-thru testing is available by appointment only at the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio from 9 a-m to 3 p-m Tuesday through Saturday, by appt only.
