Looking forward to home grown summer tomatoes~when you’ve got a bumper crop, you can make one of my favorite appetizers: Bruschetta!
4-5 tomatoes diced small (I used heirlooms, but any kind will do)
1 clove garlic , minced
1/4 cup fresh basil chopped fine
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon each salt & pepper (or to taste)
olive oil & fresh garlic for toasting
