Fires In OC Still Burning

Thousands of Irvine California residents evacuated due to the Silverado Fire are returning home as firefighters work to
contain the blaze, which injured two firefighters critically, and blackened 13,354 acres so far.

Containment is at 25%.

And so far, though more than 69,000 buildings were threatened by flames, none were destroyed.

Near Yorba Linda and Corona,  The Blue Ridge Fire has burned 14,334 acres, damaged seven homes and destroyed one, and is still zero percent contained  as of early Wednesday morning October 28th 2020.

It has closed parts of the 71 Expressway and the 91 Freeway in that area too, and forced the evacuation of nearly 6-thousand homes.

Crews tried to beat back two out-of-control wildfires in Southern California on Tuesday that have kept tens of thousands of people out of their homes even as another round of dangerous fire weather raises the risk for flames erupting across the state.
