Facemasks Required Indoors & Outdoors In Palm Springs; City Kicks Off New Campaign

Here in the Coachella Valley, it has been nearly 6 months since COVID-19 interrupted our lives with the first case reported in Rancho Mirage on March 8th, 2020.

Since then, the economic damage from a government lockdown of private business has been far greater than the number of cases of Covid-19 and the number of hospitalizations.

And in case you don’t know yet, the City of Palm Springs is advising you again, that you have to wear a facemask, indoors and outdoors in Palm Springs.

In case you need reminding again, the city has rolled out a new public education campaign, called “PS Keeping You Safe.”

You’ll see billboards, oversized poster signs, and banners, in English and Spanish, around town.

25 big poster signs have been strategically placed throughout downtown, and billboards are on Interstate 10, Gene Autry Trail, Dinah Shore Drive, and on Highway 111.

And you will see several hundred zip signs tied around light poles in the downtown corridor, two large banners overhead along Palm Canyon Drive, and several electronic message boards.
