The National Weather Service calls it Excessive Heat.
For most people accustomed to May weather in the desert, it’s a spring day.
Still, there is an Excessive Heat Warning in effect in the Coachella Valley from Tuesday morning May 5th at 10 a-m through Friday night May 8th at 9 p-m. The Warning is also for San Diego County Deserts and the San Gorgonio Pass.
The Inland Empire is under a Heat Advisory from 10 a-m Tuesday, May 5th through 9 p-m Friday, May 8th.
Daytime high temperatures in the desert will flirt with the 105-110 degree mark, with overnight lows of 75 to 80.
Mother’s Day weekend, temps could cool a few degrees, but not enough to provide any relief.
