Effort Fails To Stop Steady Increases In CA Gasoline Tax

California Senate Bill 1156 is dead, it died in the Finance Committee.
Every year in California, the gas tax goes up.
This bill would have ended those annual gas tax increases.
But Democrats defeated it, in a party line vote.
On July 1st 2022, the gasoline tax in California is going up again. It is currently 51.1 cents per gallon. It will be 53.9 cents per gallon come July 1st 2022.
