Desert Hot Springs Police will conduct a 7 hour drunk driving checkpoint in town on Friday December 20th.
It starts at 8pm through 3 o’clock Saturday morning December 21st.
Officers will be looking for drivers impaired by alcohol or drugs, including marijuana, as well as checking driver’s licenses.
In 2018, Desert Hot Springs Police investigated 11 DUI collisions that resulted in 2 deaths and 15 injuries.
DHS Police remind you to always use a designated sober driver, or take public transit, a taxi or ride-share.
Offer soft drinks to guests at parties.
