This weekend, the Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Contest was held in West Virginia (yes, this is a real thing). Montpelier, Ohio took home first place for the Best Municipal Water.
It beat out last year’s winner, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, which came in second this year. Another California entry, the Mission Springs Water District, was third.
Judges based their rankings on taste, odor, “mouth feel,” and aftertaste.
