Desert Sees 39 New Covid-19 Cases; 26 In Cities, 13 In Unincorporated Areas

As of Tuesday, May 12th, 2020

There have been 217 deaths linked to Covid-19 in Riverside County as of Tuesday, May 12th, 2020.  That’s 12 more deaths since Monday, May 11th, 2020.

38 of those deaths are in the Coachella Valley, no increase there.

Riverside County has 5,189 positive cases of Covid-19, as of Tuesday morning May 12th, 2020,  an increase of 150 cases  since Monday, May 11th, 2020

963 cases are in the Coachella Valley, which is an increase of 39 cases in the past 24 hours.

837 of those are in cities, an increase of 26 cases in the past 24 hours.  126 cases are in unincorporated areas of the desert (Bermuda Dunes, Thousand Palms, Sky Valley, Mecca, Thermal, Oasis, Vista Santa Rosa) an increase of 13 new cases in the past day.

108 cases in Palm Springs, 9 dead

29 cases in Rancho Mirage, 3 dead

106 cases in Cathedral City, 1 dead        (1 new case)

122 cases in Palm Desert, 10 dead         (10 new cases)

161 cases in Indio, 5 dead                        (9 new cases)

82 cases in La Quinta  6 dead

49 cases in Desert Hot Springs, no deaths

167 cases in Coachella, 3 dead                (6 new cases)

13 in Indian Wells, no deaths

126 cases in unincorporated areas in the desert;   1 death in Mecca

4 cases in Idyllwild/Pine Cove

3 cases in Cabazon, 1 dead

961 cases in Riverside, 67 dead  (34 new cases) (8 additional deaths)

588 cases in Moreno Valley, 17 dead     (15 new cases)

213 cases in Hemet, 14 dead;  94 cases in San Jacinto, 4 dead

6 cases in Anza

165 cases in Beaumont, 9 dead

 

2,645 people have recovered from the Covid-19 virus.

199 are hospitalized.

2,128 are quarantined at home in various stages of recovery.

73,149  people have been tested so far.
