Deadly Weekend On Desert Roads

East Palm Canyon Drive at Farrell Drive in Palm Springs is open for your Monday commute, after being closed for 4 hours late Saturday night into Sunday morning.

A crash there killed 52 year old Amadeo Tapia late Saturday night September 25th 2021.

On Saturday morning, September 25th around 5:15, 37 year old Eugene Ray III of Indian Wells was killed in a crash on Highway 111 at Desert Horizons Drive in Indian Wells.

Ray was walking in the area when he was hit by a vehicle, and ied at the scene.  The person driving the vehicle was not hurt.

Alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash.

Late Friday afternoon September 24th, 31 year old Thomas Blosser of Anza and 33 year old Derrick Laub were  killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 10 eastbound near State Route 62 in Whitewater.

36 old Luis Nicolas of Mecca was killed in a  crash on Grapefruit Boulevard near Avenue 52 in Coachella at 8 in the morning on Thursday September 23rd.
