Since the Covid-19 pandemic began, Riverside County has had 13,800 people test positive for the virus. Those are the latest numbers as of Tuesday morning June 23rd, 2020, and they include numbers from Father’s Day weekend.

Of those 13,800 people who have tested positive in Riverside County, 50% of them, 6,895, have fully recovered.

45% of them, 6,183, are at home recovering and are not getting any medical assistance.

Together, that’s 95% of all the positive cases.

2% of the people who have tested positive so far in Riverside County, 298 people, remain hospitalized, and 87 of them are in Intensive Care.

3% of the people who have tested positive so far in Riverside County, 424 people, have died from Covid-19.

189,162 people have been tested for Covid-19 in Riverside County as of Tuesday morning June 23rd, and 7% of them, 13,800, have tested positive.

Approximately 7.5% of Riverside County’s population has been tested for Covid-19.  That’s 189,162 people out of a population of 2.5 million people.

3,854 cases are in the Coachella Valley.

3,364 cases are in cities.

490 cases are in unincorporated areas of the desert:

(Mecca 148 cases, Thermal 63 cases, Oasis 84 cases,  North Shore 49 cases, Bermuda Dunes 28 cases, Thousand Palms 31 cases, Vista Santa Rosa 31 cases, Garnet 35 cases, Desert Palms 9 cases, Desert Edge 8 cases, and Sky Valley 4 cases)

There have been 424 deaths linked to Covid-19 in Riverside County as of Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020.  184 are women, 240 are men

106 of those deaths are in the Coachella Valley.   101 deaths in cities, 5 deaths in unincorporated areas…3 in Mecca,  1 in Vista Santa Rosa, 1 in Bermuda Dunes

84 cases in Rancho Mirage, 7 dead

6,895  people have recovered from the Covid-19 virus.

298 are hospitalized (including new patients from Imperial County).

6,183 are quarantined at home in various stages of recovery.

189,162 people have been tested so far.

Riverside County has 1,619 cases in nursing homes, with 1,017 cases among patients, and 602 cases among staff. The overwhelming majority of nursing home cases, 583 cases, are in the City of Riverside.

In Coachella Valley nursing facilities, there have been 66 cases in Palm Desert, 45 in Rancho Mirage…27 patients and 15 staff from Vista Cove Assisted Living in Rancho Mirage and another 12 patients and 4 staff at Rancho Mirage Terrace, 42 cases in Indio, 43 in Palm Springs and 19 in La Quinta.

All testing is free to the patient being tested.

Drive-thru testing is available by appointment only at the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio from 9 a-m to 3 p-m Tuesday through Saturday, by appt only. You can also get tested at the Cathedral City Library on Date Palm Drive. Call 800-945-6171 to make an appointment, and you no longer need to have symptoms to schedule a test.
