18,447,472 people still need to be tested in California, that’s 46.11% of the state’s population.

 

4.91% of the people tested for Covid-19 in California have tested positive. That’s 1,059,267 people.

 

95.08% of the people tested for Covid-19 in California have tested negative.  That’s 20,493,261 people.

 

California has 18,466 deaths from Covid-19, which is 1.74% of those who have tested positive.

 

California hospitals report 5/10th’s of 1% of the people who have tested positive, are hospitalized, which is 5,319 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the hospitals. 1,253 of those patients are in ICU.

 

The case rate in California is 16.5 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 people. The Positivity rate is 5.2%

Riverside County stats as of Friday morning November 20th 2020.

 

On Friday November 20th 2020, Riverside County remains in the California’s most restrictive Purple Tier, for Widespread risk of Covid-19 transmission. The case rate in the County has ballooned to 22.4 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people.  The Positivity rate is now at 8.9%.

 

Riverside County has tested 980,792 people for Covid-19 since March 2020, out of a population of 2.5 million.  That’s 39.23% of the County’s population.

 

1,519,208 people still need to be tested in the county, that’s 60.76% of the county’s population.

 

7.95% of the people tested for Covid-19 in Riverside County have tested positive. That’s 78,009 people.

 

92.04% of the people tested for Covid-19 in Riverside County have tested negative.  That’s 902,783 people.

 

Of the 78,009 people who have tested positive in Riverside County,

83.87% of them, 65,427 have fully recovered.

13.87% of them, 10,824 are at home recovering. Together, that’s 97.74% of all the positive cases.  373 new cases in the past 24 hours.

There are 11,186 active cases in the County as of 11/20/2020.

 

4/10th’s of 1%, of the people who have tested positive so far in Riverside County, 362 people, remain hospitalized, and 85  of them are in Intensive Care. 24 new hospitalizations in the past 24 hours.

There are 17 major hospitals in Riverside County. 

 

1.78% of the people who have tested positive so far in Riverside County, 1,396 people, have died from Covid-19. 13 new deaths in the past 24 hours.

 

398 of those deaths have been in the Coachella Valley, which is 28.51% of the County’s total. 358 deaths in cities, 40 deaths in unincorporated areas…11 in Mecca,  1 in Vista Santa Rosa, 3 in Bermuda Dunes, 5 in Garnet, 4 in Desert Palms, 5 in Desert Edge, 5 in Oasis, 1 in Thousand Palms, 2 in Sky Valley, 2 in Thermal,  and 1 in North Shore.

 

Of the 1,396 people who have died from Covid-19 in Riverside County, 972 of them have been over 65; 353 have been between 45 and 64.

 

Coachella Valley Overall: 17,683 positive cases have been recorded in the Coachella Valley since March 8th 2020, when the testing and counting began. 87.85% of them, 15,535  people, have recovered. There are 2,148 active cases in the desert on 11/20/2020. 4 new cases in the past 24 hours.

824 deaths are men, 566 are women, and 0 are transgender, non-binary or intersex according to county officials.

 

Riverside County has 3,559 cases in nursing homes, with 2,200 cases among patients, and 1,359 cases among staff. The overwhelming majority of nursing home cases, 957 cases, are in the City of Riverside.

In Coachella Valley nursing facilities, there have been 192 cases in Palm Desert, 175 in Palm Springs, 77 in Rancho Mirage, 58 in Indio, 53 in La Quinta,

Rite Aid is doing Covid-19 testing by appointment for people 18 years of age or older, regardless of whether the person is experiencing symptoms. Results are expected in three to five days.

 

The Coachella Valley locations providing testing starting Thursday July 16th 2020 are:

 

 12900 Palm Drive, Desert Hot Springs;

— 51101 Cesar Chavez St., Coachella;

— 47985 Monroe St., Building A, Indio; 

 

The sites will utilize self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists, and will operate weekdays from 10 a.m to 8 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
