Covid-19 Delta Variant Spreading In L-A County; Face Mask Mandate Returns

Los Angeles County is once again requiring face masks at all indoor public space, for all people, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated against Covid-19 or not.

The new edict begins  Saturday July 17th 2021, as the County grapples with an increase in coronavirus case numbers, as the Delta variant of the virus spreads.

L-A he county has been  reporting more than one-thousand new Covid-19 cases each day for the past week, including more than 15-hundred new cases on Thursday July 15th 2021, which is the highest single-day total since March 2021.

 

Public health officials say the new face mask mandate will be in place until there are significant decrease in the number of new coronavirus cases in the County.

 

There are no changes to any safety protocols in the Coachella Valley or Riverside County at this time.
