CDC Panel Not Onboard With Covid Boosters, Boosters & More Boosters

The CDC’s 5 member Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices is against a fourth Covid-19 vaccine does  for the broader U.S. population, instead calling for some type of clear national strategy.

Committee members are in agreement  that relying on  booster vaccine doses to prevent Covid-19 infection is not a realistic goal.

The CDC has already approved fourth dose of either Pfizer or Moderna vaccines for people who 50 years old or older.

Dr. Sarah Long, is a Professor of Pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine and a member of that CDC Committee.

Dr Long says public health agencies need to abandon the idea that vaccines can prevent Covid infections. She says the main goal of the vaccines is to prevent severe illness, hospitalization, and death, and government should not chase  rainbows…hoping that vaccines could prevent infection, transmission, or mild disease, because it is just not possible.
