Calling Someone On The Phone Popular During Covid-19 Crisis

Folks are suddenly remembering those expensive smartphones in their pockets and purses can do something other than texts and social media.

Phones can actually be used to call someone and engage in a conversation.

Verizon says it is handling an average of 800-million wireless calls a day during the pandemic. That’s more than double what it normally does on Mother’s Day, one of its busiest calling days of the year.

AT&T says its cellular calls have increased about 35-percent and Wi-Fi based calls have doubled.
