Bogert Statue Coming Down

The statue of Former Palm Springs Mayor Frank Bogert should be coming in the Spring of 2022.

The Palm Springs City Council has rejected an appeal from the Friends of Frank Bogert, and has given the City Manager 60 days to find a new location for the statue…that has stood outside City Hall for more than 30 years.  The clock starting ticking on those 60 days on Thursday February 24th 2022.

The Council voted unanimously to give the City Manager another 30 days, if there are legal challenges to the Council’s decision to take down the statue.

If the City Manager cannot find a suitable location for the statue, the City Council has given the green light to put it in a storage warehouse.
