All CA Voters Getting Ballot In The Mail

Registered voters in California will now receive an election mail-in ballot for the November election.  Governor Gavin Newsom has signed the bill into law.

Under the law, all California residents will receive a mail-in ballot whether or not they requested one.  Newsom has pushed for mail-in ballots as a safer alternative to in-person voting during the current coronavirus pandemic.

There’s no word yet on how elections officials will prevent a person from showing up to vote a 2nd time at a polling station on election day, as voters do not have to present any form of identification when they vote or prove they have already cast their vote by mail.
