Captain Fantastic!

Wow!  What a weekend at the Rock Yard!  As you know, the Rock Yard is featuring various tribute bands every weekend from around the country.  Friday night was "Captain Fantastic" a tribute to Elton John.  Now, I have to tell you...I'm a very critical guy when it comes to tribute bands.  You had better be good and know the music if you are sticking your neck out to thousands of hard core fans who love these artists.  You had better nail it!  And that's just what Walt Wise did.  He had it down!  Right down to the wardrobe and glasses.  His piano work was great as well as his choice of band members.  Elton John never sounded so good. 

 If that wasn't enough, the next night was a tribute to Billy Joel with "52nd Street".  I was there for sound check and what do ya know...It was the same guy!  Walt paid tribute to Billy Joel flawlessly.  I was impressed.  So, if you ever get a chance to see this guy, do it.  You'll enjoy it.  If you were there, let me know your thoughts.
